How do you spell mountain? Yes we can spell, but so many people spell words wrong in search engines that this switch in letters gets people here. You'd be surprised how many people spell mountains wrong on the internet. I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. (mountians) lol
Elevation: 9,017 ft This is the lake at Dillon, Colorado and is a great place to find cool summer nights while enjoying both mountains and large lake.
Where is it? From Denver take Interstate 70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel to Dillon. To get to the Dillon Marina you will need to take the Silverthorne exit, 205 to Hwy 6 and take Hwy 6 to Dillon. Access to the Frisco Bay Marina, take the Frisco exit 203 to Hwy 9. Take Hwy 9 to Main Street and turn left (east) to the marina. I love staying right next to the lake when I visit Dillon.

Lake Dillon Colorado has fishing, hiking, camping, boating, and of
course the best of all, the Rocky Mountains surrounding you the whole
time you are there. Be sure to hike around the lake area early in the morning for a great view. |

Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park Fun
Don't forget your friends and family to make the trip a blast. On
this trip we went to the Sheep Lakes area over to the Alluvial Fan water
fall. At the foot of Big Horn mountain Elv. 11463 you can enjoy the cold
mountain water racing down the mountain in this powerful water fall. On
July 15th 1982 the Lake Lawn earthen dam broke and caused great damage
to the mountain side is it raced down. You can still see the
effects of the dam break today.
